Find us

You can use the Public transports, called TCL network. A single ticket enables you to go from metro to bus, tram or funicular as many times as you like during one hour. A single ticket costs 1,80€ if you buy it at a ticket machine (2€ if you buy it in a bus to the driver). However, you can’t do a return journey on the same ticket and a particular fare is applied to the airport shuttle called “Rhône Express” (for those arriving by plane).

The closest Metro stations are Croix-Paquet on Line A (yellow line) or Hotel de Ville – Louis Pradel on Line A (red line).

From the bus station

Your bus will arrive at Perrache station. From there, the fastest way to arrive at the hostel is to take Metro A direction Vaulx en Velin La soie (red line) to Hotel de Ville – Louis Pradel. Once you’ve exited the metro, diagonally cross the main square along the Opera house until you hit the Opera Parking then turn left. Walk straight in rue des Feuillants until you see Away Hostel’s sign at the end of the street.

By Car

From North (Paris – Highway A6) : You will arrive by the Fourvière tunnel. Take A6 to Rue Professeur Guérin. Take the exit toward Vaise/Saint Just from A6 then Take Rue du Sergent Michel Berthet to Rue Marietton. Take Tunnel de la Croix-Rousseto Quai André Lassagne. Exit from Tunnel de la Croix-Rousse. Take Rue Eugénie Brazier to Rue Alsace Lorraine and Away Hostel is located at number 21 of that street.

From West / South (Marseille / St Etienne – Highways A7 and A47) : Take A7 to Quai Dr Gailleton in Lyon. Take the exit toward Lyon-Centre from A7. Continue on Quai Dr Gailleton. Take Quai Jules Courmont, Quai Jean Moulin and Quai André Lassagneto Rue Alsace Lorraine. Away Hostel is located at number 21 rue Alsace Lorraine.

The hostel does not have its own parking but the Opera Parking is only a 3 minute walk from us.

From the airport

Your plane will arrive at Lyon St Exupery Airport.

The fastest way to arrive at the hostel is to take the Rhône Express train-shuttle “Direction Gare Part-Dieu Villette”. Get off at “Vaulx en Velin La Soie” Station and take the subway line A direction Perrache.  Get off at “Hotel de Ville / Louis Pradel” then cross the Louis Pradel Square to the entrance of Opera Parking, on Place Tolozan, then find Feuillants street, go straight and you will see our hostel.

From the train stations Part Dieu or Perrache

Your train will arrive at Perrache station or Lyon Part-Dieu station.

From Perrache station (about 15mn) : Take the metro line A. Get off at “Hotel de Ville / Louis Pradel” then cross the Louis Pradel Square to the entrance of Opera Car Parking, on Place Tolozan, then find Feuillants street, go straight and you will see our hostel.

From Lyon Part-Dieu station (about 25mn) : the most convenient way to arrive to the hostel from Lyon Part Dieu is to take the subway line B inside the train station (direction Charpennes). Then stop at Charpennes station, change to line A (the red one) direction Perrache. Stop at Hotel de Ville Louis Pradel. When you are in the street, find the Louis Pradel Square, then Opera Car Parking (place Tolozan), then keep walking straight in Rue des Feuillants and you will see our hostel signs.
